Recommended soil mix: 50/50 Peat moss to perlite (or sand)
Mature plants typically grow around 1-2 inches of rhizome growth per year, so plan the pot accordingly.
Growing Conditions
Light: Full sun
Water: Constant moisture; keep soil wet with pure water (rainwater, distilled, or reverse osmosis)
Soil: Acidic bog mix such as peat moss and sand
Hardiness: Generally USDA Zones 7–9
Dormancy: Requires winter dormancy in cooler months
Fertilizer: None should be used except in specific and controlled methods. As the plants catch bugs, the bugs become their fertilizer. (No ground beef please!)
